An Italian restaurant is closing its doors after 47 years in Guernsey as the owners retire.

In a social media post, the owners said it was a difficult decision but one they were making with "immense pride and gratitude".
They also encouraged anyone with vouchers to use them before they closed for the final time on 23 December.
Da Nello has been a Guernsey institution for decades, having opened in the 1970s, external.
It was founded by its namesake Nello Ciotti who was joined by current co-owner Tim Vidamour a year later.
Mr Vidamour remains as one of the owners of the restaurant, along with Manuel Teixeira, who has been with him since 1995.
'Immense pride'
Writing on social media, the co-owners said: "After 47 incredible years of serving our wonderful community since 1978, we will be closing our doors on 23 December."
The post revealed both owners were due to "begin their well-deserved retirement".
