Two boys suffered serious leg injuries when their scrambler bike crashed with a car, police said.

The pair, aged 12 and 13, crashed just before 17:30 GMT on Saturday in Longview Drive, Huyton.

They remain in a serious but stable condition in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The driver of the bronze-coloured Peugeot 3008 stopped at the scene and assisted with inquiries, Merseyside Police said. Officers have appealed for witnesses and dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage.
