The suspected gin trap was located in the Hayfield area

Police are investigating after a cat was found with its leg caught in a suspected gin trap.
The animal was found in the Hayfield area of Derbyshire on Saturday.
The Derbyshire Rural Crime Team said while the cat was not injured, the incident had caused "significant distress to the owners and raises serious concerns for the safety of pets and wildlife locally".
A gin trap is a mechanical trap, which uses spring-operated jaws to trap animals by their leg. They have been banned for use in the UK since 1958.
Police are keen to establish where the trap was set and who may be responsible, and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
