Junior Hoilett has scored 17 goals in 68 games for Canada

Swindon Town have signed former QPR and Cardiff City winger Junior Hoilett on a permanent deal until the end of the season.

The addition of the 35-year-old Canada international, who began his senior career with Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League, comes after the Robins signed defender Jake Batty from Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal until the end of the season and agreed a loan deal for Manchester United winger James Scanlon for the rest of the campaign.

Hoilett has played for Aberdeen, Vancouver Whitecaps and Hibernian after leaving Reading in 2023, helping HIbs to third in the Scottish Premiership last season.

Left-back Batty, 20, has come through the ranks at Rovers' academy and made two appearances for the first team.

He went on loan to Accrington Stanley last season where he played on 29 occasions.

Forward Scanlon joins from Manchester United's academy on a loan for the remainder of the League Two campaign.

The 19-year-old, who has made 20 appearances for Gibraltar, has featured for the Premier League side's under-21s but is yet to play for the first team.
