Carjacker crashes into bush after near-miss with van

This was the moment a man pulled a woman out of her car to steal it, before swerving in front of a food delivery van and mounting a kerb.

Benjamin Griffiths, 35, of Rhos, Wrexham, hit a sign in the car park after stealing the car on 13 May outside Heddfan psychiatric unit in Wrexham.

He narrowly missed a Tesco delivery van while driving away, then left the road and crashed into bushes.

Griffiths pleaded guilty to robbery, criminal damage and driving dangerously without insurance, and was jailed for 44 months. He was also banned from driving for six years and 10 months.
