Shed explodes after e-bike left on charge
A warning has been issued after a shed exploded when an e-bike was left on charge overnight.
Footage of the blast, at a property in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, in April, has been shared by the county council.
The council said the explosion and fire were "most likely" caused by a lithium-ion bike that had been left on charge overnight.
The authority, together with Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, has issued a warning about the dangers of leaving e-bikes and e-scooters charging while unattended.
The council also advised consumers to "only buy from reputable sellers" and to "do their research before committing".
