Plymouth Argyle have signed Millwall defender Wes Harding and Huddersfield Town midfielder Herbie Kane on loan until the end of the season.
Harding, 29, comes in with Julio Pleguezuelo out and Argyle assessing an injury suffered by Brendan Galloway over the weekend.
He began his career at Birmingham City and moved to Millwall in the summer of 2023 after three years at Rotherham United.
Kane, 27, joins having recovered from a groin injury that has kept him out since September.
The former Liverpool youngster moved to Huddersfield on a three-year deal in the summer of 2024 from Barnsley.
He has played more than 200 games, having also had loan spells at Doncaster Rovers, Hull City and Oxford United.
"Herbie is an extremely talented footballer who can offer depth and quality across a variety of positions" Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley told the club website., external
"Having played close to 200 games at this level, he has the experience and knowhow to help us be successful for the rest of the season.
"His campaign has been slightly hindered by injury so far, but he is fully fit now and raring to go and we look forward to seeing the best of him in an Argyle shirt."
Kane will bolster Plymouth's midfield options while Bradley Ibrahim and Joe Ralls are out injured.
Meanwhile, Harding joins having helped Rotherham win promotion to the Championship in 2022 and has made almost 250 career appearances.
But he has struggled to break into the Millwall side over the past two seasons after injuries meant he dropped down the pecking order - he has made just 13 Championship appearances in that time.
Cleverely said: "Wes provides not only versatility and experience to the group but real quality having spent much of his career at Championship level.
"We have been defensively sound in recent weeks, but it has been clear to everyone that we need more depth through the spine of our team.
"Wes will only strengthen that, and we are really pleased to add him to the squad as we head towards the business end of the season."
