Bantams must take Trophy exit on chin - Alexanderpublished at 10:08 GMT 3 December
Graham Alexander says Bradford have to "take it on the chin" after bowing out of the EFL Vertu Trophy at Bolton.
Two strikes from on-loan Toulouse winger Ibrahim Cissoko put Wanderers 2-0 up inside 20 minutes while Middlesbrough loanee Marcus Forss ended the last-32 tie as a contest midway through the second half.
Bantams boss Alexander told BBC Radio Leeds: "They took their opportunities. We got into some areas and didn't hit the target. The game's about scoring goals, we had the opportunities.
"In the first half we had more shots, more touches in the opposition box, more passes in the opposition half, but we didn't use it [the ball] enough, we didn't take care with our finishing. We didn't have the quality they showed.
"Second half we started pretty well, made some proper tackles, but we didn't get the opportunity to score in that period and slowly lost the momentum and the game ran away from us.
"It's a disappointing night to go out of this trophy at this stage but Bolton are a good team, you see the quality of their squad.
"Tonight we weren't good enough, we have to take it on the chin."
The Bantams return to League One action with a trip to Plymouth on Saturday (12:30 GMT) and could finish the day top of the table with victory if other results go their way.
