Our bonus scheme is generous and reliable. All staff start with the potential to earn up to 5% of annual salary in line with the commercial success of your division. As you develop within the business your bonus scope can increase and payment is based not only on the success of the company, but on your own performance against personal goals. A generous pension scheme is available for all staff, with Company contributions starting at 5% and increasing dependent on service and your own contribution. Our paid leave is available to all staff with more than one years’ service. We offer full pay for up to 22 weeks of leave for mothers/pregnant parents, and 6 weeks fully paid leave for fathers/co-parents. Pension contributions continue as normal throughout the period of your leave, and the Company will pay both employer and employee contributions during any statutory pay period. Once you return to work, the parenting work continues, and we offer mentoring and coaching support for new parents together with flexible and hybrid working to make your transition to a working parent as easy to manage as possible. You may also find the opportunity to purchase additional holiday useful once you get to the school years. Our holiday entitlement starts at 28 days, three days of which are kept for the winter office closure – everyone being off at the same time gives you a chance to really relax, and we often give another discretionary day at that point in the year too. After your second year of employment your holiday increases to 29 days, with a further increase to 30 days after 5 years with us. You can carry over up to 5 days if you are saving holiday for a big event, or buy up to a further two weeks every year.
Our community and volunteering days allow you to request up to two days of paid leave a year. We collaborate with charity and social outreach partners to help you find volunteering opportunities that might work for you.
In the Summer months people in our publishing teams can make up hours during the week to leave at 1pm on Fridays – our teams work together to ensure that there is enough cover in the office on Friday afternoons.
