Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Eighth loss in last 11 starts
Bobrovsky made 15 saves on 20 shots in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo on Monday.
Florida is in trouble right now -- it's 10 points behind Buffalo for the first wild-card spot, and nine points behind Boston for the second one. Bobrovsky has lost three straight, five of his last six, and eight of his last 11 starts (3-8-0). He can use some rest and fast -- the Olympic break will hopefully give him the R&R he needs.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: First goal in 11 games
Rodrigues scored a goal Monday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.
It was his first goal in 11 games. Rodrigues is completely overmatched as Florida's top pivot -- Sam Bennett left Monday's game with an upper-body injury, and the kitties are already missing Anton Lundell (upper body), Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Tomas Nosek (knee) down the middle, and Brad Marchand (undisclosed) on the wing. Rodrigues has a point (one goal, one assist) in each of his last two games, but just three assists in the 10 games before Monday.

Panthers' Sandis Vilmanis: Three points, 10 hits in last four
Vilmanis scored a goal Monday in a 5-3 loss to Florida. He had three hits.
Vilmanis has quietly put up three points, including two goals, in his last four games. He has 10 hits in that span. Vilmanis may help lift the bottom of your roster ever so slightly, and at this point, you need every point you can get.

Panthers' Uvis Balinskis: Snipes on power play
Balinskis scored a goal Monday in a 5-3 loss to the Sabres.
Balinskis scored just 37 seconds when a lucky bounce rebound arrived on his stick in the left circle, and he buried a snap shot over Alex Lyon's glove while on a power play. Balinskis played a team-high 24:57 and fired three shots. He has four goals, eight assists and 51 shots through 46 outings this season.

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Continues to carry kitties
Reinhart dished two assists Monday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.
Reinhart is all but dragging the Panthers this season, and now he's the last man standing with Sam Bennett leaving with an upper-body injury Monday. The kitties are already without Aleksander Barkov (knee), Brad Marchand (undisclosed) and Anton Lundell (upper body). Reinhart has still managed 54 points (27 goals, 27 helpers) and 144 shots in 55 games this season. There's no rest for the weary, either, as Reinhart heads to Milano Cortina later this week to play for Canada at the Olympics.

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Won't return Monday
Bennett exited Monday's game against the Sabres early with an upper-body injury and will not return.
After skating just over five minutes in the first period, Bennett was ultimately ruled out before the start of the third period. The injury comes at a rough time for the 29-year-old center, who was in the midst of an 11-point, 12-game stretch and was a top candidate to potentially replace Anthony Cirelli (undisclosed) on Team Canada, if Cirelli's injury is serious enough to keep him out through the Olympic break. Regardless, Bennett will have two chances to return to Florida's lineup before the Olympic break, with the first being Wednesday versus the Bruins. The veteran center can be considered day-to-day until the team provides further information.

Panthers' Anton Lundell: Won't play Monday
Lundell (upper body) won't be in the lineup against Buffalo on Monday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Lundell remains day-to-day and will miss his third straight game. He participated in Monday's morning skate in a non-contact jersey, making it unclear if he will be ready for Wednesday's home matchup against Boston. Lundell has contributed 15 goals, 36 points, 120 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and 63 hits across 52 appearances this season.

Panthers' Brad Marchand: Remains out for Monday's game
Marchand (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Sabres, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Marchand sustained an undisclosed injury during Thursday's game against the Blues, and he'll be forced to miss a second consecutive matchup Monday. While a timetable for his return isn't yet clear, head coach Paul Maurice said after Monday's morning skate that there's a chance Marchand returns to action at some point this week. The 37-year-old's final two chances to suit up before the Olympic break will be Wednesday against Boston and Thursday against Tampa Bay.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: First goalie off Monday
Bobrovsky was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Sabres.
Bobrovsky has alternated starts with Daniil Tarasov over the past few weeks, but the former will draw a second consecutive start Monday for the first time since mid-January. Bobrovsky is in the midst of a cold spell in which he's gone 1-4-0 with a 4.00 GAA and .839 save percentage over his last five outings.

Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Opens scoring in loss
Luostarinen scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.
Luostarinen has earned two goals and two assists over his last seven games. The 27-year-old winger has played on the top line lately due to the absences of Anton Lundell (upper body) and Brad Marchand (undisclosed), which have left the Panthers a little thin up front. Luostarinen is at 23 points, 72 shots on net, 93 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 46 contests this season. He's on track to reach the 30-point mark for just the second time in his career.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets little help in Saturday's loss
Bobrovsky turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.
The veteran netminder blanked the visitors through the first 40 minutes, but after the Panthers' offense wasn't able to get much going through the first two frames, their defense collapsed as well in the third. Since a nine-goal disaster against the Hurricanes on Jan. 16, Bobrovsky has rallied somewhat, but he's still gone just 1-3-0 over his last four starts with a 2.75 GAA and .875 save percentage while working in a strict timeshare with Daniil Tarasov, who has a 3-1-0 record, 2.21 GAA and .905 save percentage over that same stretch.

Marchand (undisclosed) will miss Saturday's game versus Winnipeg, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Marchand was forced to leave Thursday's contest versus St. Louis in the third period. Marchand is having a stellar season with the Panthers, tallying 25 goals and 25 assists in 45 appearances. Marchand should be considered day-to-day at this time.

Panthers' Anton Lundell: Not available Saturday
Lundell (upper body) has been ruled out of Saturday's tilt against Winnipeg, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Lundell will miss his second straight game. The center has 15 goals and 21 assists across 52 appearances this season. He could return as early as Monday when the Panthers face Buffalo in Florida.

Panthers' Luke Kunin: Manages assist in loss
Kunin posted an assist in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Blues.
Kunin had been scratched for three of the previous five games. He drew back in since Anton Lundell (upper body) was unavailable, and Kunin ended his 13-game point drought with the assist. The 28-year-old forward has just four points, 28 shots on net, 74 hits, 31 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 40 appearances this season. Once the Panthers get out of this recent wave of injuries, Kunin is likely to fade into a part-time role.

Panthers' A.J. Greer: Scores in loss
Greer scored a goal and added five PIM in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Blues.
Greer opened the scoring at 3:12 of the first period, but that was the only lead the Panthers had all game, and it lasted just 1:34. He snapped a five-game point drought with the goal. The 29-year-old winger is up to 11 goals, 20 points, 69 shots on net, 136 hits and 83 PIM over 53 appearances. This is the best campaign of Greer's career, and he's been a bottom-six fixture throughout the season, providing grit and depth scoring for the two-time reigning champions.
